World Initiative for Orphans

World Initiative for Orphans (WIO) is an independent human rights organisation serving children without parental care worldwide. WIO strives to guard the fundamental needs of this disadvantaged population of 250 million children by engaging in advocacy, education efforts and offering scientific expert solutions.

WIO (2004 - 2012) :

- has no government funding...
- is active on 3 continents...
- and in 41 countries...
- of which real based in 17 countries...
- with more then 120 inspired and passionate
volunteers and staff members
and around 200 (concept-) partner organisations...
